falling

Falling - falling while mountain boarding is common and nothing to be over worried about. of-course its a good idea to learn and know the safety methods, basics, what to do and not to do to not fall. Essentially the best way for avoiding falling is to have a good control of the board and being aware of balancing positions and maneuvers, also to add to that you should always know your limits and if you want to do more than what you know you can do already, just take it easy small step forward at a time. do not go extreme the next day from when you started. However if you end up in a situation where you are going too fast, there is a list of things you can do; firstly if your board starts to wobble you should be putting more and more weight on the front leg. if putting wieght on the front leg does not help then try crouching down for more balance and control which may not stop the wobble but will definitely decrease it. Always remember that if you fall down while crouched down it will hurt much less than if you was standing up.

If you become completely out of the control of the board and you are certain that you are about to fall, how ever sometimes it is better to purposely fall than to keep going with a chance of an injury. For a controlled fall you need to crunch down and start dragging your wrists on the ground or to say use your hands as brakes which ever way you like it. Of-course if you are without pads or any protection it was a recommendation that you avoid all or any falls regardless if its purposly planned fall, you should always wear protection. however you must get used to the pads and while falling using the pads to skid on the ground than rolling all over the place and braking all type of bones...
