learning the basics

Learning The Basics - To teach yourself how to mountain board is not that hard, after all most of the people learn to ride it by jumping on it and start riding it. As long as you don't put the HERO mode on and think your a pro because you got the hang of it, you will be okay, the key at mountain boarding is to not rush and just blend in with the flow.

If you have done any other boarding sports then you should naturally be attracted to mountain boarding. However if you have newer stepped on a skateboard before, you shouldn't worry mountain boarding is literally one of the easiest sports to learn, notice i say learn but not do, it is easy to learn but not as easy acting it out, practice is needed.

Setting up - To get yourself on your board first place one feet in place into the biding followed by your second foot, the ideal positions for your feet are to be evenly alligned in simetry to the board, approximetaly with the same ammount of your shoe outside the board both your heel and toe side. You can ofcourse always adjust the bindings for your own comfortability and safety, the ideal would be tighen them up as much as you can so that there is no friction between your feet and binding, just like in ice-skating you need your ice skates as tight as they can be for maximum action. However if you have heel straps on your board which is less recommend in the comfortability point of view, secure them around your feet properly so that they hold your feet as tightest as they can.

Equipment - You will need a helmet, elbow and knee pads, wrist-guard, mountain board ofcourse and a grass slope. Always to remember give a quick look for your mountainboard to see for any loose bolts or straps, they should be as tight as they can get, check the tires for sufficient air in them and that the board is not shaky too much. If you find a problem that you either cannot or don't know how to fix, just go to someone for help, even to a stranger, mountain boarding has a very friendly community and i guarantee you that you will not be rejected.
